Pros and cons of Exlibris FB2 app for iPhone and iPad

Exlibris FB2 app good for

Macht was es soll! Fb2 Format wird problemlos aus Safari aus geladen und offline gespeichert!
This program has been well thought out and is very convenient to use.
Brilliant reader. I prefer reading in Russian and this app is simply the best. It suits its task even better than iBook which I really enjoyed. For books not from this library (including in English) get the link from safari and copy/paste or just use iTunes.
While this app is not as mature as some more commercially oriented book apps, it definitely fits in, accessing resources the pay-for-pages-apps dont see fit to present. Perhaps this app serves non-English titles so well, that it turns the noses of those who would prefer that English titles should be served first, and served best. But a good deal of literature does not translate well, certainly not the greatest authors, anyway. Anatoly does a fine job of starting up and giving us access to buried, and forgotten gems, and I for one hope he continues to develop, refine, and expand his work to encompass as much literature as we can stand. It has been said that "...content is king", so the first selections chosen for inclusion, and easy access to, may not please everyone, so it is difficult to imagine a greater selection not allaying some of the criticisms Ive read. Bottom line... Ive enjoyed literature with this app, that would otherwise not seen by other paths and apps.
Works well on iPhone 4 with last version of ios 5. A couple of restarts here and there are not too onerous. Nice spartan ui. Some touches are better than my beloved stanza - pop-up windows for footnotes, for example. But why only 4 choices for colors, missing my preferred red on black? ;) Ah, yes, two more gripes: bookmarking is handled only via menu (no tap-while-reading like Stanza) and it forgets the rotation lock status between restarts.
Looks a nice app. My friend highly recommended it. In addition you get 37 classics to re-read and enjoy it using your iPad... Through a stone into water if you do not like it. I bet you will like it.

Some bad moments

This ap comes with "Three Men in a Boat", an excellent book. But the catalogue of additional books which loads with the application is all in Russian. Downloading books from other sites to read using this ap is NOT easy and the few tips dont help. I expected the same Ex Libris from the net.
In Russian, and no matter how I try I cannot get it to load books through ITunes. Big waste of time and money.... Avoid!
A pretty decent reader. I would like to see some extra features (like day/night schemes, full screen reading) rather than fancy page turning, but thats just me.
Love it. I only had a problem with one large fb2 file that wouldnt display correctly in the app.
Easy to load books, easy to customize. Overall good product..
...it seems to be geared towards a Russian-speaking audience as the catalogue of books is all in Russian. Otherwise, not a bad E-reader if you upload your own ebooks.
